Unlike in other office programs like WORD, in Excel you have to confirm the data typed in the cell.
- Type the number/text in the desired cell, and finish with one of the following options:
- Press Enter, the data remains in the cell. and the cursor moves to the next line.
- Press one of the arrows (right, left, up, or down) and the selected cell becomes the active cell (very convenient when typing data in sequence).
- Clicking on the sign - ü the cell where the data was entered remains the active cell.
- Click with the mouse on another cell.
- Pressing Tab on the keyboard.
If we made a typo,
Perform the opposite operation for entering data - pressing Eac and the data is discarded without being recorded.
