iPadOS 26 brings one of the biggest updates to the iPad, transforming it from a tool for viewing and browsing only to a tool for working, creating and learning at an almost computer level. Apple has emphasized in this update an innovative user interface, multitasking and a deeper integration of artificial intelligence. The most notable innovation is the Liquid Glass design – a transparent, glass-like interface that emphasizes a sense of depth and a smooth continuity between windows, icons and backgrounds. This design gives the iPad a modern, clean feel and is adapted to its large screen. Another major innovation is the new window system : now you can open applications in multiple windows at the same time, resize and position them freely. This allows for true multitasking – for example, writing a document in one window, having a FaceTime conversation in another window and viewing a PDF file side by side. The update also includes an expansion of Apple Intelligence – Apple’s artificial intelligence system. Now you can perform live translation of texts and conversations, use smart writing and creative tools such as creating custom emojis or simple graphics, and receive smart suggestions for managing tasks and files. The Files app has also been upgraded in iPadOS 26, with better support for external storage, improved organization, and a more convenient display. The Dock experience has become more efficient with the ability to put folders in it and get quick access to important apps and files. In addition, Apple has improved the use of the mouse and trackpad, making the iPad a more convenient replacement for a laptop. The improvements include precision in cursor movement, new gestures, and broader support for professional apps.
